This website is….
An effort of two women, Annie Grosshans and Meg McHutchison engaged in a rigorous dialog emerging from the evolution of the triptych script, Acts of Witness script, from text to finished film.
An illumination of the theoretical intentions embedded in the script through an exploration of NarrativeOtherways. One facet is the humanifesto that follows, written by Annie as an explanation of a premise put forward in the script: that we are at the end of the MaleNarrative. We offer this site as a dialogical tool, a dance in itself, and a step toward the realization of the film in final form.

Not a finished product. It is a weaving of sorts, of image, theory and story.
We work to keep it flexible. It is, as we are...evolving.
We hope it is lightfooted enough to keep up.
We know each other from our early days in Seattle when we shared a community of performance, poetry, publishing. It was a seminal, exciting time in the city and our lives. We worked on several creative projects together and shared a particularly intense investigation of feminist theory as it was then.
