In February, 2009, we had the opportunity to breathe life into the script through the generous collaboration of the Goddard MFA-IA residency in Port Townsend, Washington. We invited students, allies and alumni to participate. The process, and the resulting feedback, galvanized our energies toward pressing ever on.
The script Acts of Witness is a triptych tale of a family’s loss of their mother through the travels of Daughter as she crosses from the old stories, so familiar but no longer adequate, into a poetic exploration of what it means to find footing in the emerging narrative of seismic shifts, on new ground.
